Hey out there!
GT here, and I wanted to take a quick minute and fill everybody in on the teams we have in this years lineup. First off I have to announce that the 2005 West Coast and National Slam Champs, Team Albuquerque, unfortunately will not be returning to defend their title. As I understand it, the high gas prices we're all facing have made the trip to California out of the question. We're sad they won't be with us, but wish them the best as they get ready to head to Austin, TX for the 2006 National Poetry Slam.
Now for who's coming (drum roll anyone?):
Bend, Oregon, Palo Alto, Oakland/Team HYPHY, Los Angeles/Elements, Los Angeles/Green,
Modesto, Hollywood, San Jose, Berkeley and Ventura.
That's the latest there, and everybody is excited!
Now it's back to the grindstone, as we get things ready for this weekend. BTW, if anyone has a couple of Technics SL 1200 Turntables we could use on Saturday and Sunday please drop an email to gtpoet[at]westcoastslam.com .
