Hey Slam fans!
It's been awhile since the staff here at Slam Central Monterey have had a minute to drop a line or two on you. All have been very busy with various slam projects, but none have forgotten the weekly Rubber Chicken Poetry Slam & Open Mic!
This week we've got a great feature for in the form of LOS ILLEGALS! Made up of local Spoken Word artists Frank Sanchez and Jesus Juarez, members of that wild bunch from East Salinas known as Baktun 12. They'll be debuting some new work tonight, and if you're in the area, you won't want to miss it.!
As always, we'll be have a slam and open mic, and the sign up sheet will be out as of 7:30pm. Our venue is the sexy East Village Coffee Lounge in Downtown Monterey, loocated at 498 Washington St. (& Pearl St.). Call 831.373.5601 and ask for Garland for more information.
